BWA and SBC leaders agree to improve fraternal relations |

December 19th, 2011 - Washington (BWA)--Leaders of the Baptist World Alliance (BWA) and the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) held a joint meeting on December 19. The meeting was a follow up to a commitment made in April 2004 that both groups "meet at least once per year to continue an ongoing dialogue."

Paul Mutch – December 23, 2011
We are deeply saddened by the death of Paul Mutch on Friday, December 23, 2011. He is survived by his wife Barbara, who is the VP Academic, Charles Bentall Professor of Pastoral Studies and Director of the DMin program at Carey Theological College, sons Caleb and Gabriel, Caleb’s wife Sarah, and his brothers.
A memorial service was held Friday, December 30 at First Baptist Church in Vancouver. If wished, donations may be made to A Rocha Canada or Carey Theological College. Please pray for Paul’s family and friends.

BWA Release: A call to justice and deeds of mercy |

November 16th, 2011 - Lagos (BWA)--Baptists should engage in deeds of mercy and address justice issues and not merely verbally proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, said Baptist World Alliance (BWA) General Secretary Neville Callam and Emmet Dunn, director of the BWA Youth Department.
