Carey Hall Celebrates its First 50 Years!

Carey Hall is celebrating its 50^th anniversary this fall with receptions and special services across Western Canada. 

Starting as a Christian residence on the UBC campus in 1958, Carey Hall is today recognized as one of the top theological colleges in Canada. Through Carey Theological College's graduate program, the undergraduate stream of the William Carey Institute and

the Centre for Spiritual Formation, Carey Hall makes practical training for lay and pastoral ministry accessible to more than 500 students across Western Canada and overseas annually.  Carey's flexible, innovative courses allow students to learn locally and at home and with minimal need to travel to Vancouver.  In locating its 50^th anniversary events in locations across Western Canada, Carey Hall is signalling its continuing commitment to reach out beyond the physical location of its UBC campus to all who wish to be better equipped to serve God.

Celebrations are being planned for the following dates and locations:

• Sunday, September 28 - Carey Hall, Vancouver, BC, 3-5 pm
• Sunday, October 19  --  First Baptist Church, Kelowna, BC, 2 - 4 pm
• Sunday, October 19  -- Westhill Park Baptist Church, Regina, SK, 6:30 - 8 pm
• Sunday, October 26 - Emmanuel Baptist Church, Victoria, BC, 12:30 - 1:30 pm
• Saturday, October 25 - Faith Community Baptist Church, Souris, MB, 3-5 pm
• Sunday, October 26 - First Baptist Church, Dauphin, MB, and Faith Community Baptist Church, Souris, MB - at scheduled worship services times
