 Alberta NewsGull Lake Centre began accepting registrations for summer camp 2010 on January 4. Spaces are already filling up for Gull Lake’s 90th summer camp, so register early to avoid disappointment. Because Gull Lake Centre will be celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, each camp will be extra full of excitement and celebration all summer long. Staff are already busy planning an amazing array of activities in addition to normal activities like drama, archery, swimming, boating and climbing. The first of 9 summer camps starts June 25. For more information or to register, go to www.gulllakecentre.ca As a year-round camp, retreat and educational centre located on a 60 acre property 30 km northwest of Red Deer, Gull Lake Centre exists to connect campers to Christ. It does this throughout the year by having great staff on site that model what being a Christian is and show what it means to live life to the fullest. Last year, Gull Lake had more campers than ever before – over 1,000 campers! – so the centre expects all summer camps to be fully booked this year. Since 1920, more than 33,000 campers of all ages have come to Gull Lake to connect with God and experience some of the most meaningful times in their lives. |
