 BCY NewsEveryone of all ages is invited to attend a Haiti Benefit Concert at the Fairview Coffee House on Friday, February 5th. All proceeds from the coffee house will go to benefit the victims of the January 12 earthquake in Haiti. The Fairview Coffee House welcomes performers of all musical styles and abilities. Offering an eclectic program of folk, gospel, soft rock and jazz, performers include everyone with musical gifts. While many of the musicians are professional-calibre, the coffee house gladly welcomes performances from children and amateurs who are exploring their musical gifts. All are equally appreciated and celebrated by a warm and friendly audience. The Haiti Benefit Concert continues this tradition of celebrating all musical gifts: there will be an open mic so anyone who wishes to perform can join in the fun. The audience can get involved in sing-along sessions too! Children are very welcome and there will be food, fellowship and fun for all. The coffee house concert will take place at Fairview Baptist Church, 1708 West 16th Ave. in Vancouver at 7:30 pm.
