Donald O. Anderson's Bio:

Dr. Donald Anderson received his theological training from both Carey Hall and Regent College after having served as a department head, teacher and medical researcher in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia.  Trained as a researcher, epidemiologist and medical care planner, he served in many administrative and leadership roles for both Carey and Regent and wrote extensively in the medical and public health field before entering pastoral ministry. On ordination to the Gospel Ministry in midlife, he served as senior pastor at Olivet Baptist Church, retiring to become Area Minister for BC and the Executive Secretary of the BC Convention and then served in brief interim pastorates in the Lower Mainland of BC.

Norman Archer's Bio:

Norman Archer is a pastor, tour guide and history buff. Currently, he is pastor of Crosswinds Community Church in Sidney, BC. He was born in England and educated at Oxford and London University. In his early years, he worked in Britain's printing and publishing industry. He became a Baptist minister later in life and eventually immigrated to Canada. He and his family first moved to Victoria in 1966, left, and then returned in the 1980’s. A descendent of circus performers and a natural story-teller, Norman conducts over 100 tours each summer and has guided more than 12,000 people around the City to date.

Paul Beckingham's Bio:

Paul Beckingham is a military chaplain with the British Columbia Regiment (the Duke of Connaught’s Own), a Cavalry Regiment in Vancouver. Paul has served on the executive of the London City Mission in the United Kingdom, developing a young adult's residential training program in Urban Mission, and was influential in expanding urban ministry initiatives in Nairobi, Kenya through pastors in the Africa Brotherhood Church. He became a chaplain after being severely injured in a car accident in Africa in 1997. Paul received his DMin from Carey Theological Seminary in 2001 for his thesis on Traumatic Brain Injury: Implications for Appropriate Pastoral Ministry Interventions and was Assistant Professor in Church and Mission at Carey at Carey for several years. As well as being a military chaplain, Paul is also a Registered Professional Counsellor at Pacific SoulCare.

Rob Des Cotes is a spiritual director and pastor of Fairview Baptist Church in Vancouver. He teaches Contemplative Traditions at Trinity Western University, as well as courses on spirituality and the arts at Carey Theological College and Columbia Bible College.

Tim Dickau's Bio:

Tim Dickau is the lead pastor of Grandview Calvary Baptist Church in Vancouver, BC. Grandview Calvary Baptist is a community-based church that reflects the diversity of its neighbourhood with people from many different cultural and life situations. The church seeks to be prophetically connected to the brokenness of the neighbourhood in which it finds itself through many initiatives that reach out to people in the community who are living on the street, single moms, refugees and or interested in the performing arts. With his wife Mary, with their three boys, have lived in community (with 37 different people) in their East Vancouver neighbourhood area for the past 20 years.

Byron Elsey's Bio:

Dr. Byron Elsey is a retired Canadian Baptist prison chaplain and has had 25 years experience working with hundreds of criminals and their families. He has served in juvenile and adult correctional institutions, as well as being the founding director of The Community Ministry with Ex-offenders. He worked as a chaplain primarily in Winnipeg, a city which has one of the highest crime rates in Canada. He is currently working as the pastor in the Christian Family Ministry Church in North Winnipeg.

John Forrester's Bio:

Dr. John Forrester was born in the UK and farmed in Prince Edward Island for many years. He received his MDiv in 1994 from Regent College/Carey Theological College, a ThM from Regent in 1995 and his DMin from Fuller Seminary in 2005. He served first as Associate Pastor at Trinity Baptist in Vancouver and then became its Pastoral Team Leader from 1998 to 2005. During that time he participated in 4 short-term mission trips to the Philippines. He served as field staff in Turkey for 3 years with CBM and in 2008 became the senior pastor at Martin Grove Baptist Church in Toronto, where he currently serves. He has been married to Betty for more than 35 years and has 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

Stanley Grenz's Bio:

Stanley Grenz, 1950-2005, was the Pioneer McDonald Professor of Theology at Carey Theological College in Vancouver and Professor of Theological Studies at the Mars Hill Graduate School in Seattle. A prolific Baptist theologian and author, he died in 2005. He is honoured by Carey Theological College through the Grenz Lecture Series.

Darrell Johnson's Bio:

Darrell W. Johnson is the senior pastor at First Baptist Church, Vancouver. Before joining First Baptist in 2009, he was an Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Regent College in Vancouver. A popular conference and retreat speaker, he has also served as the preaching pastor for a number of Presbyterian congregations in the United States as well as Union Church of Manila, Philippines, as well as serving as Adjunct Professor of Preaching for the Doctor of Ministry program at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.

Bruce Milne's Bio:

Dr. Bruce Milne, a Scot by birth and upbringing, was the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church, Vancouver from 1983 until 2001.  Under his ministry, and through his reputation for expository preaching, First Baptist grew to a community of around 2000, including regular or occasional visiting worshippers.   Before serving in Vancouver Dr Milne taught for a year in Nairobi, Kenya; led a church-plant in the central belt of Scotland while completing his theological studies; and served on the faculty of Spurgeon's College, London for ten years, teaching in the areas of Evangelism, Pastoral Studies, and Biblical and Historical Theology.  He has served as President of the Canadian Baptist Federation, was the initial President of the CBM, and was a Vice-President of the Baptist World Alliance.  Now retired, Dr. Milne has long been in demand internationally as a preacher, teacher and encourager of pastoral leaders.

Dieter Mulitze's Bio:

Dieter Mulitze is the Director of Ministry for Deeper Love Ministries (www.deeperlove.ca) and has written three books on the ministry of healing prayer. One of Dieter’s main roles in this ministry is teaching on healing prayer and speaking at conferences. Dieter’s three books serve to articulate and strengthen the theology and practice of the ministry of healing prayer for the whole person. Dieter graduated from the U. of Guelph (BSc) and holds a PhD in quantitative genetics from the U. of Saskatchewan. He is a graduate of Regent College, Vancouver, B.C., with the Master of Christian Studies (MCS) degree, concentrating in spiritual theology.

Gary is President of Tyndale University College and Seminary in Toronto (as of July 1, 2010). For the past 10 years he has been General Secretary of Canadian Baptist Ministries. Carson Pue's Bio:

Dr. Carson Pue is president of Arrow Leadership - a global leadership development ministry.  Many individuals and organizations claim to be experts in the area of leadership development. Jesus said you will know people by the fruit they produce. Carson Pue has led the Arrow Leadership program which develops emerging leaders for more than a decade. Jonathan R. Wilson's Bio:

Dr. Jonathan Wilson is the Pioneer MacDonald Professor of Theology at Carey Theological College in Vancouver, BC. Before joining the Carey faculty in 2006, he was Professor of Theology and Ethics at Acadia Divinity College (2003-2006) and Professor of Religious Studies at Westmont College (1989-2003). A native of Oklahoma, he was ordained by Canadian Baptists and pastored in Western Canada from 1978-1986, where he also earned an M.C.S. and an M.Div. from Regent College. He has a Ph.D. in theology and ethics from Duke University (1989). Jonathan’s teaching invites followers of Jesus Christ to connect how we live with what we believe.
