![]() BCY NewsCarey Theological College has recently announced it is offering a new degree, a Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation (MASF). Applications are now being accepted for the fall. With rolling entry dates, the program can be started at the beginning of June, September, January or April.Applications are now being accepted for the fall. Designed with two eight-day retreats at the heart of the program, the MASF is a 48 credit hour program, delivered through a blend of residential, hybrid and online courses. It is more experiential and contemplative than a lot of other graduate degrees. The MASF has been accredited as a Master’s degree by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada. Spiritual formation is a process of being formed through God into the likeness of Christ. It involves both the inward journey of deepening life with God and the outward expression of that life in compassion. The new MASF will assist individuals to realize their own unique potential and approach to the devotional life. It will equip individuals to offer leadership in the area of spiritual formation in congregations and other settings such as retreat ministries and as spiritual directors.
