Through the Foundation Fund, the CBWC Foundation provides low interest loans to Churches, Pastors and Agencies through the Loans Committee.

Individuals and churches, who desire to see their savings at work in ministry (as well as earning a fair rate of return) loan money to the Foundation Fund. Funds are then loaned to applicants to enable their ministry. Presently, members of Canadian Baptists of Western Canada churches have loaned the Foundation Fund in excess of $12 million to be used for ministry!

Money loaned to the Foundation Fund is loaned to Churches, Pastors and Agencies at a rate that is about 2.75% above the rate paid to investors. The difference between the investment and loan rate covers 2.25% for administration, 0.25% grant for congregational financing and 0.25% to build the reserve. These rates are reviewed every 6 months by the Directors of the Foundation.

Ministry is taking place. Over the last 10 years the Foundation Fund has made over $24 Million available in low interest loans to Churches, Pastors and Agencies of the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada.
